Age Concern England required a CD-ROM that would run on both Microsoft Windows and MacOS platforms.
The purpose of the CD-ROM was to take an existing brochure to help older people get the most of the internet. Where appropriate, animations and games were produced to make the most of the medium.
Key elements of the project were:
- content was produced in XML format to allow for reuse of the the material and the possiblity of a future multi-lingual version
- sourcing a suitable voice for narration. A professional actor was hired and a quality recording studio was used.
- providing a website for the client to view the current storyboard
- providing beta versions of the CD-ROM on schedule
- liasing with printers to produce appropriate proofs and the final delivery on time
